Predoslje, a typical Gorenjska village, is home to the Krištof family restaurant. It is located half an hour’s drive from Ljubljana or 15 minutes if you stop here on your way to or from Jože Pučnik Airport.
The Bolkas have been involved with hospitality all their lives. Both father Vinko and mother Elica hail from family restaurants in Gorenjska. When they decided to start their hospitality journey in the 1960s, they named their new restaurant after their firstborn, Krištof. Today, Krištof runs the restaurant with his brother, Tomaž.
Krištof manages it, and Tomaž is focused on development and creative culinary challenges. Chef Uroš Gorjanc and his organised team ensure the perfect realisation and elevation of the brothers’ vision.
At Krištof, you will feel comfortable and cosy. The terrace and dining room evoke tranquillity and authenticity. If you seek intimacy and romance, you will be entertained in a small wooden cabin in the garden, which you should book beforehand.
The menu is a blend of organically produced food, tradition and modern culinary trends. It all begins with meticulously selected ingredients. Their principles are clear. Organically produced, fresh, wild, from the neighbour’s meadow and garden, and nearby farmers.
You can stop at Krištof for a gourmet indulgence, a quick snack or a light lunch. Do not fill yourself up before the sweet course, as desserts are prepared with special joy and passion.

Cuisine that hits the mark with modern foodies
In addition to appealingly transformed traditional Slovenian dishes and excellent desserts, Krištof fascinates with vegetarian and vegan delicacies.
Get refreshed with a drink made with raw ingredients from the restaurant’s garden. Try sprout parcels filled with spelt and tofu or buckwheat porridge with soya cream, vegetables and mushrooms.
The wine list includes top-notch Slovenian biodynamic wines that have been swiftly joining the best in the world. The wine list is handled by Krištof who is a level 1 sommelier.

A culinary enthusiast who bases his dishes on French cuisine, loves everything made with passion for cooking and discovers the infinity of confectionery creations.
For Uroš, the most important factor in the preparation and creation of dishes is that they are made with love and respect for the ingredients as well as out of consideration for guests.
