The 54th Festival of Teran and Prosciutto

From Friday, 7 August, to Sunday, 16 August 2026, in Dutovlje and across the Kras region.

The Praznik terana in pršuta is the central celebration of the people of the Karst region and all lovers of Karst cuisine and traditions. With its rich programme of cultural, sporting, ethnological, and, of course, social and entertainment events, it attracts large numbers of visitors from Slovenia and abroad to the Kras. At the festival, you can sample two of the region’s most renowned culinary specialties—Karst prosciutto and Teran wine—and experience the distinctive hospitality for which the Karst is known.
